	It was not until the middle of the eighteenth Century that cabinetmakers created tables especially for writing. Prior to that time, the dining table or an occasional side table doubled as a writing surface for the learned. The earliest writing tables were small and delicate, with pull out writing slides and special fittings for ink bottles and writing instruments. In addition to writing tables, our work has included library tables, filing cabinets and a wide a variety of double pedestal desks including models that contain complete computer work stations.
