Our craftsmen have been creating fine upholstered furniture for almost two decades, using traditional techniques to join fine design with the best possible materials. Our Superior grade of seating furniture features include:
* Hand crafted hardwood frames made to order in our own shop.
* All carbon steel coil springs, hand sewn to hessian webbing.
* For stability and comfort, springs are tied in 8 directions.
* All natural filling.
* Down, feathers, cotton batting, and horsehair.
* Hand tacked hessian dust cover and liners.
* All fabric hand tacked and, where appropriate, hand sewn.
Textile is carefully hand matched, cut and sewn, then expertly applied. Should leather be selected, the item is first covered with muslin to insure a comfortable fit for the leather. When desired, leather pieces may be hand colored and aged to achieve the graceful appearance of an antique. |
