We all know an armoire, or wardrobe, as a large cupboard for storing clothing, whether shelved or with rods for hangings. In the mid 1500s, the original armoire were for storing armor or weapons, hence the name.
Our sample has 2 raised paneled doors, adjustable shelving within, and is decorated with hand carved trim detailing.
