An original watercolour on paper by the English illustrator and instructor, Bert Hookham, ca 1943, framed and signed. Hookham was a prolific illustrator during and after WWII, supplementing his teaching salary with his creative advertising works.
This is the original submitted for approval for a local holiday campaign. Note the subtle humor in the signs and the flags on the collector’s arm.
