This very large cabinet sits in the equally large dining room of a New York period home. A traditionalist, the client wanted a breakfront that did not look like a long flat piece but was large enough to fit the scale of the room. The treatment of two breaks on the front of the piece filled those requirements.
The use of beautiful flame mahogany is set off by the silk lining in the top section.
For proper storage of silver, the top 4 drawers are lined with Pacific Silver cloth. The cabinet base has crocodile shelving within for flexible storage.
